IFV crews, air defense units to compete on China’s soil at Army-2018 International Games

The International Army Games 2018 will be held on July 28 - August 11

Four events of the International Army Games 2018 will be held on the territory of China, spokesman for China’s Defense Ministry Senior Colonel Wu Qiang told a news briefing on Thursday.

China will hold four disciplines on its territory. They will include the competition of the crews of infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), the Suvorov Attack contest, the Clear Sky competition of air defense units, the Safe Route event for engineering troops, and also the Seaborne Assault for marine infantry,” he said.

The International Army Games 2018 will be held on July 28 – August 11. They will comprise 29 events at 23 training ranges in Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan and China.

The International Army Games 2017 were held at 22 practice ranges of Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and China from July 29 to August 12. Overall, more than 150 teams from 28 countries representing Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America took part in the competitions.

Last year, Russia came first in the unofficial medal count at the International Army Games.
